The policies established are ultimately carried out by the supervisor and clerk in their administrative capacity, and oftentimes there is a city manager appointed to handle the administration of the township. Certification of tax levies and adopting the annual budget are some of the duties of the trustees, and the board of trustees also approve township expenses.
